Discovering Delilah BT ban

IMG_2283Discovering Delilah Synopsis:
After the death of her parents on the day of her college graduation, Delilah Armstrong thought she could finally follow her heart and come out to her closest friends, but the guilt of going against her parents’ beliefs haunts her. The feelings she has for her best friend, Ashley, are stronger than anything she’s felt before, but Delilah has never even kissed a girl, and fear stops her at every turn.

Ashley Carver promised herself that she would never again date another girl who wasn’t out, but that was before she met intoxicatingly sweet and sexy Delilah.

When another girl offers to teach Delilah the ropes, it changes Delilah’s whole world and gives her the courage to go after the only girl she really wants. But coming out isn’t as easy as Delilah imagined, and moving past her parents’ death and the feelings of guilt she is left with is even harder. The intense passion between Ashley and Delilah is too strong to deny, but coming together means risking everything.

Discovering Delilah is an edgy, evocative, romantic story of friendship, family, and the courage to love.

Each book brings out such a crazy mix of emotions while readers read. What emotions did you feel while writing Discovering Delilah?

I went through the gamut—fear, love, excitement, empathy. Delilah’s story is such an intense exploration into her past and who she is, that we were on a real journey as well as a romance.

•The F/F romance is one I’m learning is coming up more in romance novels, how did you come up with the idea when writing Discovering Delilah?

When I first met the Harborside gang, Delilah was present, and her voice was quite loud with the need to be heard. I don’t write for trends, meaning that if F/F were up and coming, you wouldn’t find me trying to dive in. I write the characters I feel most present at any given time. In fact, I was given the advice not to write F/F because the readership is so small compared to M/F contemporary romance. But again, I write what I feel

Can you describe Discovering Delilah in seven words?

Feminine, delicate, strong, willful, fearful, loyal, intelligent

•You are an amazing writer, just in 2015 you released 10 or so books…. How do you have such an amazing number of book released each year?

I write 7000-10,000 words each day because I enjoy what I do, and the voices I hear are so very present all the time. If I didn’t write their stories, I might go batty! I actually will release a total of 16 books in 2015, which is crazy. I hope to slow down a little in 2016, but that’s all up to my characters.<—–Very dedicated writer!!!!

•What started the Love In Bloom series? Where did you get the idea?

A good friend gets the credit for me writing romance. She dared me to write something that wasn’t heart-wrenchingly sad. I’m always up for a challenge, and learning to write romance was a huge challenge that I jumped feet first into after tons of research. It started as a way to prove to her that I could write one HEA that didn’t make her cry—and from there, I was hooked.

•For those who haven’t read any of your books can you give a short break down of what they can expect? ( my personal favorites are the Bradens 🙂 but they are all amazing)

The most exciting thing for readers about the Love in Bloom series, is that characters from each series appear in the other family books. While each book can be read as a stand alone, if read in series order readers can follow marriages, births, etc. I’ve created a Series Guide, available in paperback and digital formats, although I highly suggest the paperback, for readers to follow the families. Readers can take notes on engagements, births, marriages, etc.

My Love in Bloom series is made up of hunky, loyal heroes who are not without faults—and all strikingly different. They range from bad boys to heartbroken, but they know how to love a woman—it just takes the right woman to land their hearts, bodies, and minds in the right place. And my heroines are also all very different. Some are strong, others are shy or introverted. Some are simply wild and crazy, others are so OCD you have to be right there with them lining up their shoes! While others are totally disorganized hippy types.

Each series is different.

The Snow Sisters begin the series with a look into each of the sisters, and the half-sister they never knew. Then we meet the Bradens, a big, close, loving ranch family spread out in location, but they all come together in each book. We move onto the Remingtons, who were raised by a military father, and artsy mother. The Seaside Summers series is lighter, with crazy pranks, and summer stories, while the Braden cousins (from Trusty, CO) are a small-town, close knit family raised by a single mother.

My Harborside Nights series is a new adult romance series. It’s edgier, told in first person, and follows a younger crowd, but you still see the Bradens and others in the series. This series covers M/F, M/M, F/F, and bisexual relationships.

•With as much as you write, what is always the hardest part for you?

For me it’s making sure every book is different, every character is new and exciting, and that readers get their fill of family and series members and updates with every story. My goal is to always make each book better than the last. I never settle.

•What can we expect in the future from you?

The Ryders are the newest addition to the Love in Bloom family, and SEIZED BY LOVE (Blue Ryder’s book) is releasing in October. Blue and his family have been present in the Snow Sisters, Remingtons, Bradens, and Seaside Summers. Gage, who we met in Sisters in Love, will also have his own book! The After Dark series, releasing in November, is darker, sexier, definitely five flames, with edgier language and sex scenes. Wild Boys After Dark will begin releasing in November 2015.

This one might be hard, but who has been your favorite couple, or couples to write? ( my favorite is Fated For Love, I just love Wes and Callie!!!)

I cannot choose! Lol. That’s like asking me to choose a favorite child. But oh yes, Wes and Callie are to die for!

•Last question, what is your funniest fan encounter?

When I was at Cape Cod in the summer of 2014 a vendor at a flea market asked me to go into the food service area and ask for Donna. I had no idea why, but I went inside and asked if anyone knew Donna. Well, Donna came running to the front screaming that she couldn’t believe I was there! She’s become a good friend on Facebook, and we’re close. But, wow! What an exciting day for both of us! I signed her book and we hugged and talked, and it was wonderful.

Thank you so much Melissa for taking the time to answering my questions! I can’t  wait to see what you have in store for us in the future!!!

Thank you – what a joy it’s been chatting with you! I hope readers will follow me on Facebook and join my street team for even more fun! xox—–> I’m part of the street team and follow, and shes right! Tons of FUN!!!!

About Catching Cassidy (Harborside Nights, bk1)
Wyatt Armstrong never imagined that instead of celebrating his college graduation, he and his twin sister would be dealing with the death of their parents. Then again, Wyatt had never been one to think past tomorrow. He heads to their summer home in Harborside, Massachusetts, with his best friend Cassidy Lowell in tow, to deal with his parents’ death and to try to figure out his next step.

Six foot two, infuriatingly handsome, and flirtatious, Wyatt Armstrong has always been there for Cassidy, helping her pass her classes and fend off unwanted advances, while driving her insane with his one-night stands—but that’s what best friends are for, isn’t it? Having each other’s backs. There was never any doubt that she would accompany him to his family’s summer home—but she never expected to begin seeing Wyatt as more than a friend. Or has she been ignoring her feelings all along?

It’s impossible to ignore the sizzling heat between them as Wyatt and Cassidy get even closer, but Cassidy knows Wyatt’s past, and she has a real job to begin in the fall. Wyatt may be a sure thing for the summer, but Cassidy needs more. For the first time in his life, Wyatt is forced to look toward the future if he doesn’t want to lose the one woman who’s shared his past and owns his heart.
