Cold Fury #4
Sawyer Bennett
Releasing Sept 8th, 2015

The rugged men of the Carolina Cold Fury hockey team are winning hearts once again in another scorching novel from New York Times bestselling
author Sawyer Bennett.

The stakes have never been higher for Carolina Cold Fury goalie Ryker Evans. With
his contract running out, he’s got a year left to prove he’s still at the top
of his game. And since his wife left him, Ryker has been balancing life as a
pro-hockey star and a single parent to two daughters. Management is waiting for
him to screw up. The fans are ready to pounce. Everybody’s taking dirty
shots—except for the fiery redhead whose faith in Ryker
gives him a fresh start.

As the league’s only female general manager, Gray Brannon has learned not to mix
business with pleasure. And yet even this tough, talented career woman can’t
help breaking her own rules as she gives Ryker everything she’s got. She hopes
their hot streak will last forever, but with Ryker’s conniving ex plotting to
reclaim her man, the pressure is on Gray to step up and save a tender new love
before it’s too late.

My Thoughts
This story……. Just wow. Sawyer has done it yet again and make me love a man that isn’t my husband. I have always been a fan of sawyer bennett and this book cements my love for her. Ryker is an amazing man, father and hockey player
Oh Ryker, what can I say about him! He was one of the best, older Heros I’ve ever read. He had a hardness about him but at the same time you could see, feel his devotion to what mattered. He would risk what mattered to him for this he cares about. He was an awesome dad. His love for his kids was out of this world!!!!!!!
Grey was an amazing lead! She was feisty and tried to prove herself when she knew she could do what needed to be done. She was very complimentary to Ryker in the way they they are perfect for eachother. At times I wondered about what was really going on in her head but by the end of the book I felt like I knew her, she surprised me at the end of the book.
I really loved the dynamic between Ryker and Grey. They had to fight to keep together but it make them stronger people for it. They have a taboo going on and while they both care, and others would care it didn’t stop them from trying,
Secondary characters
Like always we get a great look at past favorites and I loved seeing them in this book!!! We got to see Alex, Garrett, Zack in this story with there heroines and it was awesome to see. I loved getting to see them give the advice and just be happy.
She’s his kinda boss and while that plot has been done before the way this author did itt was new and refreshing, it was spunky and real….. I felt like it could truly happen.
I love this whole series and this was another great addition to the already amazing series, I can’t wait to see where she goes next! At times some books in a series are hard to beat and this book will be really hard to top. But I believe she can do it! If you live sports, a super hot dad, a sorta taboo read then grab this book!!!!!
